KABUL: The illegal and immoral websites in Kabul have been successfully blocked following monitoring and assessment, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology said in a statement today.
This monitoring and assessment were conducted by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ATRA) based on directives of the Prime Minister’s office.
In addition to illegal and immoral websites, certain applications, including TikTok and PUBG, were also scrutinized, said the statement.
According to the statement, the telecommunications networks of Afghan Wireless, Etisalat, Roshan, MTN, and Salam were included in the monitoring and assessment process.
According to the ministry, at the end of the investigations and assessments, the blocking of illegal and immoral websites, as well as the applications of TikTok and PUBG has been confirmed.
After the takeover of the country by the Islamic Emirate illegal and immoral websites have been banned in the country.
