KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, met with a number of elders and influential figures of the country’s northern Baghlan province, where they shared their suggestions and problems with him, Arg said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, in the meeting, the elders from some districts of the province thanked the Islamic Emirate officials’ attention to the flood-affected people in their region.
They called on the deputy prime minister to step up with road building, construction of schools, health facilities and construction of mosques in their districts, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, the deputy prime minister thanked them and appreciated their efforts during the years of Jihad and said the people of Baghlan province, like other provinces of the country, gave numerous sacrifices and suffered much to fight for their people, the statement quoted.
“The Islamic system is duty-bound to do more for the people and address their problems duly,” the statement concluded quoting the prime minister.
