KABUL: A shipment of 550-ton Afghan minerals has been exported to Turkiye via railway, Herat’s governor press office said in a statement on Monday.
This is the second commercial shipment of Afghan goods exported to Turkiye via train.
According to the statement, the train departed from the “Ruzanak” station in Herat and is headed to the “Bilecik” station in Turkiye.
The aim of exporting mineral resources is to strengthen the economy and develop the transportation infrastructure of the country, said the statement.
Herat officials have called the shipment of these minerals as an important step forward.
