Health Minister opened health facility in Kunar

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, during his visit to Kunar province, inaugurated a health facility worth 5.5 million Afghanis (some 80,899 U.S. dollars) in the Shigal district of the province, the ministry said in a statement.

In a ceremony held on this occasion, was attended by the Acting Minister of Public Health Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, Acting Minister of Communication and Information Technology Mawlavi Najeebullah Hayat Haqqani, and a number of provincial officials, said the statement.

Speaking in the ceremony, the Minister of Health said: “A step forward towards development is a great achievement and should be thanked.”

To address the healthcare needs of residents in remote areas and strengthen the health system, health facilities will be built in remote areas of the country, he said. Meanwhile, the provincial officials, elders and residents of the district praised the Ministry of Public Health’s efforts in the health sector.
