HERAT: On the occasion of the “Tourism Week” a seven-day handicrafts and arts exhibition has been held in Herat province, the Provincial Information and Culture directorate said in a statement.
The expo which was launched at the Ikhtyar-u-Din historic fort, was attended by the Director of the provincial Information and Culture Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, the head of Turkiye’s Consul General and the Office of Coordination and Cooperation (TIKA), and a number of scholars and Mujahidin, the statement said.
Addressing the exhibition, Mawlavi Muttaqi said that the exhibition featured two sections for artworks and handicrafts, one for women and the other for men, as well as the artworks and handicrafts of Nimroz, Farah, Badghis and Ghor provinces’ artists are also displayed.
In the exhibition, there were 100 booths, of which 50 for men and 50 for women.
