Check dam completed in Farah, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement today that a check dam worth 7.4 million Afghanis has been completed in Farah province.

To manage rainwater and enhance underground waters, the check dam has been built in Dehak village, Bakwah district of the province, said the statement.

The check dam, with a length of 68 meters and a height of 5 meters, has the capacity to restore 24,000 cubic meters of water, said the statement, adding that during the implementation of the project, dozens of people were provided with job opportunities.
