KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, leading a delegation left the country for Russia, to participate in the 6th Moscow Format Consultation, the deputy spokesperson for the ministry, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that, on the sidelines of the Moscow Format meeting, Mawlavi Amir Khan Mutaqi will also meet with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister.
The Moscow Format consultations, which have been ongoing since 2017, involve various regional countries and focus on current developments.
In the previous round of this meeting, delegations from China, Russia, Iran, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan participated.
