KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, in a meeting with the representatives of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), said that the ministry supports any program that helps improve health conditions in the country, the ministry said in a statement today.
The meeting discussed a series of issues, including the execution of the cash assistance distribution program aimed at supporting needy families in the country, the statement said.
“The Ministry of Public Health is committed to facilitating the implementation of programs that directly and indirectly enhance health conditions,” the statement quoted the health minister as saying.
He further added that the initiation of this program should commence only after a memorandum of understanding is signed between the ministry and the implementing organizations to ensure effective coordination.
Meanwhile, the representatives of UNICEF expressed their appreciation for the collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Public Health, emphasizing that the execution of this program would be conducted transparently and systematically in collaboration with the implementing organizations following the signing of the memorandum of understanding.
