KABUL: The bodies of 7 Afghan citizens, who were killed two days ago in an attack by armed individuals on a mine in Pakistan, have been handed over to their families, the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate in Islamabad said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, the handover of the bodies was facilitated by the Afghan Consulate General in Quetta.
Of the seven Afghan citizens who lost their lives in this incident, three were Afghan migrants in Quetta, while the other four were residents of the Maruf district in Kandahar province, said the statement.
The bodies of the four residents from the Maruf district were returned to their families in Kandahar province via the Chaman-Spin Boldak and Behlooli routes.
The Afghan embassy in Islamabad has called on local authorities in Balochistan, Pakistan, to arrest and punish those responsible for the attack on the miners.
