KABUL: The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi, in a meeting with the Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, here in his office said that Iran stands by Afghanistan in any situation.
He further stated that reports of mistreatment of Afghan refugees in Iran are baseless, asserting that the country respects all rights of refugees.
The meeting also agreed on a delegation from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations to visit Iran to closely monitor the issues faced by Afghan refugees and to engage in discussions with Iranian officials for their resolution.
