IEA leader in a decree banned drive of vehicles without license plates

KABUL: Based on the decree of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Shaikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Hibatullah Akhundzada, and guidance of the Acting Minister of Interior Affairs Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, no one is allowed to drive vehicles without license plates.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, in a statement on his X account, said today that the decree also banned the use of vehicles without documentation and with tinted windows, while emphasizing the importance of avoiding unnecessary honking.

“The security checkpoints have been instructed to remove the horn and clean the windows of such vehicles upon observation,” Qani said.

He added that over the past three years,  3,500 vehicles with tinted windows have been cleaned.

The security institutions of the Islamic Emirate are focused on enhancing order in society.
