KABUL: Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, in a statement on his X account, said on Sunday that a seditious group responsible for the shooting of 20 residents in Ghor province has been suppressed by the Special Forces of the Islamic Emirate.
“The operation took place late on Sunday in the Marko area, which is part of the center of Ghor province, targeting a hideout of the seditious group, as a result of which the leader of the group and one of its key members were killed,” said the statement.
According to the statement, a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and hand grenades were seized from the hideout.
Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid emphasized that this group was responsible for the killing of more than 20 Shitte citizens on the 9th of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the center of Ghor province.
He also noted that the group had conducted several operations in Kabul, Bamyan, and Ghor provinces.
It was reported that the individuals killed were receiving instructions from ISIS centers in Balochistan.
