KABUL: Construction work on an irrigation water supply project worth 3.7 million Afghanis has been kicked off in Helmand province، the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement.
The project, with the financial support of the United Nations Development Program, will be implemented in Gerdi village، Khanshin district of Helmand province, said the statement.
The project included a canal with a length of 36 meters and a wall with a length of 420 meters, said the statement added that with the completion of the project, hundreds of acres of agricultural land will be irrigated.
