KABUL: The Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, on the sideline of the BRICS summit, in a meeting with Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, said that there should be interaction and dialogue with Afghanistan.
According to a statement from the Iranian president’s press office, Pezeshkian emphasized that efforts should be made that the people of Afghanistan live in lasting peace and stability.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi highlighted that the Chabahar port represents India’s largest cooperation with Afghanistan.
He stressed that Chabahar plays a significant role in facilitating relations between New Delhi and Kabul.
India and Iran are among the countries with close ties to Afghanistan.
