KABUL: The deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, in an audio clip, said today that they wish to be part of BRICS meetings in the future.
As one of the countries in the region Afghanistan sees the BRICS organization positively, he said, adding that the country is relevant to the agenda of BRICS meetings.
He also emphasized that regional peace and stability are of special importance to the Islamic Emirate and beneficial for everyone.
“The BRICS organization should continue its cooperation to strengthen economic ties and regional stability in such meetings and other interactions,” he said.
The statement comes as the sixteenth summit of BRICS member countries concludes today in Russia.
