Favorable investment environment available in Afghanistan than ever before, ambassador

KABUL:  The acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kuala Lumpur, Naqeebullah Ahmadi, met with Ambassadors of Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, in his office.

According to a statement from the embassy, in the meeting, relations and interactions between the Islamic Emirate and Russia and Central Asian countries were discussed.

Calling Afghanistan an important and friendly country, the participants emphasized the continuation and further enhancing the relations in the future and increasing the interaction in many fields.

Ambassador Ahmadi called the current security situation of Afghanistan favorable for investment more than ever.

In the meeting, various issues including increasing relations and mutual economic interests of the Afghan government and Turkmenistan as well as the development of relations with Uzbekistan in the political field and the beginning of the mission of the new Afghan ambassador, the Afghan Trans rail project was also discussed.

Mr. Ahmadi emphasized Dushanbe’s ambassador’s visit to Kabul necessary. 

He mentioned accepting Afghan diplomats in Kazakhstan as the beginning of good political relations and stated the establishment of three major joint trade exhibitions as an important development in the commercial sector in the past year. 

He also called removing the Islamic Emirate from banned groups by Kyrgyzstan an important step toward the interest of the two nations

The ambassadors of Russia and Central Asian countries thanked the Afghan embassy for their hospitality and called such meetings necessary for the study of common issues.
