KANDAHAR: A 17-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Helmand province, has been rescued from his captors in Kandahar, the provincial Information and Culture department said in a statement on Monday.
Sayed Rahman, son of Haji Abdul Khaliq, who was abducted last Sunday from the Sistani village in the Marjah district of Helmand and was subsequently transferred to Kandahar, has been rescued in a special operation conducted by intelligence forces in the Zhari district of the province.
Syed Rahman has been reunited with his family.
However, the statement did not provide information on whether any arrested or not in connection with the kidnapping.
