KABUL: A three-day polio vaccination campaign has been kicked off today in Nuristan province to prevent the spread of the virus.
Dr. Amirullah Iqbali, immunization officer of Nuristan’s public health department, stated that approximately 45,000 children under the age of five will be vaccinated in the provincial center and districts.
Governor of Nuristan Qari Zain al-Abidin Abid expressed gratitude to the public health officials for their effective preparation and implementation of the polio vaccination campaign.
