KABUL: The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, said that the ministry’s counter-narcotics personnel has rounded up 105 beggars in the capital, Kabul City.
“As part of the campaign to collect beggars, these individuals have been gathered and handed over to the relevant organs for registration,” he said.
The ministry had already started a similar campaign in all the provinces of the country, including Kabul, as a result of which hundreds of beggars were registered and monthly “expenses” were determined for the needy people.
