Attempt to smuggle 22 kg of methamphetamine to Pakistan thwarted

KABUL: Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani said in a statement today that the country’s security forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle 22 kilograms of methamphetamine into Pakistan.
The methamphetamine was placed in a vehicle and was intended to be transported to Pakistan, via Torkham, discovered in the Momand Dara district of Nangarhar province, he said adding that one person has been arrested in connection with the case.
The efforts of the country’s defense and security forces to combat the cultivation, trafficking, production, and use of drugs continue.
