KABUL: The deputy spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, said on Tuesday that Dr. Hafiz Ikramuddin Kamil has been appointed as the country’s acting consul general in Mumbai city of India.
Dr. Kamil holds a PhD. in international law and has previously served as the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of Security Cooperation and Border Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms this news while the Indian “Sunday Guardian” newspaper reported the other day that the Indian government is considering the request of the Islamic Emirate to accept the Afghan diplomat in Mumbai.
It should be said that after a long delay, the passport issuance process for migrants, students, and traders residing in India, has recently been kicked off, indicating the initiation of a positive and productive interaction between the two friend countries.
