Baradar urges institutions to invest and reduce poverty in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, urged active organizations in Afghanistan to invest and reduce poverty in the country.

He made the remarks today at the National Microfinance Conference held in Kabul.

The conference, titled “Opportunities and Challenges,” was organized by the Central Bank and attended by senior officials of the Islamic Emirate.

Speaking at the conference, he said the improvements in the country over the past three years have paved a favorable situation for institutions’ investment.

He reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to creating job opportunities in the country, noting that job creation requires multi-faceted cooperation, particularly from the private sector. The National Microfinance Conference aimed to explore supportive opportunities for businesses in the country.
