KABUL: The Afghanistan National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) said in a statement that more than 13,445 Electronic Identity Cards have been distributed to citizens in Daikundi province in the past 6 months of the current solar year.
“13,445 people received electronic identity cards, while 6,268 others received paper identity cards,” said that statement adding that in addition to the provincial capital, 5,498 individuals received corrections on their paper identity cards, 4,978 had their paper identity cards confirmed, and 14 requests for cancellations were processed.
Also, services related to civil registration were provided to 2,957 citizens, including 2,623 birth certificates and 334 death certificates.
Spokesperson of NSIA Mohammad Haleem Rafi previously stated that facilities have been created for the distribution of identity cards, emphasizing that this initiative extends to both provincial centers and districts.
