Afghanistan in dire need of skilled and specialized people, Mawlavi Shahamat

KABUL: The Technical, Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET-A) opened the 2nd National Exhibition of the Best Initiatives and Innovations of Afghanistan, here at the Badam Bagh area of the capital Kabul.

Addressing the opening ceremony, the director of the TVET-A, Mawlavi Ghulam Haidar Shahamat said that Afghanistan is in dire need of skilled and specialized people, and the presence of professionals brings the society towards self-sufficiency.
“There are many job opportunities in Afghanistan, but due to the lack of professional and skilled people, these opportunities are not being taken advantage of,” the statement quoted him as saying.

There is a need for 18,000 professional workers in Mes Ainak Copper Mine, but there are no professional and skilled workers in this field, he said.
