KABUL: Work on two development projects including safe drinking and agricultural water has been started in Logar province, the Ministries of Rural Rehabilitation and Development and Energy and Water said in separate statements on Monday.
According to the statements, the projects include the construction of a water supply network worth 5 million Afghani and the cleaning and reconstruction of 9 canals worth $95,000.
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement that the construction of a safe water supply network worth 5 million Afghani has been launched in Topak village of the Baraki Barak district of the province.
With the completion of the water supply network, access to safe drinking water will be provided to 200 families.
According to the Ministry of Water and Energy’s statement, the work to clean and reconstruct 9 canals has begun in the outskirts of Pul-e-Alam city and the Baraki Barak district of Logar Province. With the completion of the project, 1,200 jeribs of agricultural land will be irrigated in the province.
