KABUL: The Iran Ambassador and President’s Special Representative, held a farewell meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the ministry’s deputy spokesman Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal said in a statement today.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Iran, as well as regional developments.
Minister Muttaqi praised the efforts of the Iranian ambassador and the special representative of the president in Kabul. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed a new ambassador to Afghanistan and has ended the special representative’s position concerning Afghan affairs.
