KABUL: The Ministry of Water and Energy said that the construction work on Pashed check dam worth 2.2 million Afghanis has been started in Kunar province.
According to the ministry, the check dam, with a length of 37.5 meters and a height of 6.5 meters, with a capacity to store 3,800 cubic meters of water, is being built in the Sarkano district of Kunar province.
The check dam will be built with the financial support of the Ministry of Water and Energy under the supervision of the Kunar Water and Energy Department within 9 months.
