KABUL: A Russian national accused of burning the holy Quran has been sentenced to 14 years by a Russian regional court, media reported.
According to the decision of the Volgograd Regional Court in southern Russia, 20-year-old Nikita Zhurville was sentenced to 14 years in prison for violating the Russian government’s law.
Zhurville was sent to prison after burning the Quran in a mosque in Volgograd in early February 2023.
