36 master’s programs and 11 doctoral programs established in country’s universities this year

KABUL: The spokesman of the Ministry of Higher Education, Hafiz Ziaullah Hashemi, said in a statement today that 36 master’s programs and 11 doctoral programs have been established in both state and private universities across the country this year.

According to him, 11 doctoral programs and 26 master’s programs were established in state universities, along with 10 master’s programs in several private universities.

He added that the programs were established by the Scientific Program Development Department of the Ministry of Higher Education over the past six months.

Hashimi also reported on the ninth scientific meeting of the Ministry of Higher Education, chaired by Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem, the acting minister.

This meeting involved comprehensive discussions on the activities of both state and private educational institutions, among other issues.

The creation of master’s and doctoral programs in both private and state educational institutions is seen as a response to the youth’s demand for the advancement of their academic qualifications.
