CENTCOM says it foiled Houthi drone, missile attack on U.S. Navy ship in Red Sea

KABUL: The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said this morning that it successfully foiled attacks by Houthi forces on American warships and commercial vessels in the Gulf of Aden.

According to CENTCOM, the Houthi attack involved several one-way drones and a cruise missile, which were intercepted by U.S. naval forces.

Two U.S. Navy warships were providing security for three commercial vessels in the Gulf of Aden when they were targeted by the Houthi forces.

The U.S. claims that there was no damage to its warships or commercial vessels during this incident.

Previously, the Houthi forces have declared Western warships and commercial ships, particularly those of the U.S. and the UK, as military targets in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
