KABUL: The deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, said in a statement on his X account on Wednesday that 46 people have been martyred as a result of the Pakistani airstrikes in Paktika province.
“At least 46 people martyred and 6 others were injured as a result of the Pakistani airstrikes in Barmal district of Paktika, with majority of women and children,” Fitrat said.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Defense in a statement on Wednesday strongly condemned Pakistan’s “cowardly” airstrikes in Paktika province, vowing that the Islamic Emirate would not leave it unanswered.
“Such actions by the Pakistani side are inhumane, against all international norms, and will not solve any issues, warning that the Islamic Emirate considers defending its territory and sovereignty as its legitimate right and will not leave this cowardly act unanswered,” said the ministry in its statement.
