Afghanistan’s 600 rare parrots exported to Kuwait

KABUL: The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock has said that 600 rare parrot have been exported from Afghanistan to Kuwait.

According to a statement from the ministry on Tuesday, the parrots were exported from a private zoo in Kandahar Province to Kuwait.

“The parrots underwent international health inspections and a 15-day quarantine as part of the export process,” said the statement.

No further details regarding the export of these birds have been provided.

Previously, rare and endangered birds have also been exported and imported between Afghanistan and Arab countries, particularly Farah province.
