KABUL: The Indian Deputy Minister of External Affairs Vikram Misri, in a statement on his X account on Thursday, expressed his country’s readiness to begin new political engagements and economic relations with Afghanistan.
He made the remarks, one day after his meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in the United Arab Emirates.
“India has complete confidence in the current regime in Afghanistan and that both countries will start a new work phase together,” he said.
Misri expressed satisfaction with his meeting with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, describing it as a positive step.
