KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, during his trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in a meeting with Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy that country, discussed a series of bilateral economic cooperation.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, in addition to welcoming the delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, explained the current economic situation of the United Arab Emirates and expressed his deep interest in expanding the Afghanistan-UAE trade.
Mawlavi Muttaqi also provided comprehensive information regarding Afghanistan’s economic situation, existing investment opportunities, and trade cooperation.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed various important issues such as mining, the mechanization of agriculture, the development of trade and transit between the two countries, the transfer of Afghan workers to the UAE, the normalization of banking relations, and cooperation between chambers of commerce.
At the end, both sides agreed to appoint technical teams to address the discussed issues and ensure that these programs are implemented effectively.
