KABUL: Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was sworn into office for a third consecutive term on Friday, as the United States raised the rewards for his arrest to $25 million.
Simultaneously, the United States has increased its reward for any information leading to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro to $25 million, while it was $15 million in the past.
Nicolás Maduro has been in power since 2013, during which time relations between Caracas and Washington have been strained.
Elections to select the President of Venezuela were held about six months ago.
