KABUL: Leading a delegation, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, S.Lukashevich, in a meeting with Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of the Islamic Emirate Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, discussed political and economic relations between Afghanistan and Belarus here in Kabul.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, in the meeting, the Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister stated that his country is ready to initiate fundamental cooperation with Afghanistan.
Deputy Minister Stanekzai emphasized the importance of the Belarusian delegation’s visit for advancing bilateral relations between the two countries, said the statement.
Both sides agreed that to expand their relations, technical teams should increase their meetings in Kabul and Minsk.
In recent days, Belarusian officials have held discussions with officials of the Islamic Emirate in various sectors, including economy, trade, security, and narcotics.
