KABUL: At least 35 people have been detained over various crimes in seven provinces of the country, in the past one day, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Thursday.
“At least 34 individuals in connection with the theft, murder, illegally extracting mines and keeping of illegal weapons have been arrested in Herat, Nimroz, Helmand, Ghor, Balkh and Nooristan provinces of the country in the past day,” said the statement.
Six armed individuals who interfered in a ethnic clash, resulting in the injury of a woman in Laghman, are aslo among the arrestees.
The detainees have been handed over to the judicial organ for further investigation into their files.
