Clash between armed groups leaves over 60 people dead in Colombia

KABUL: More than 60 people have been killed in clashes between two armed groups in Colombia, international media reported.

The Human Rights Monitoring Office in the country has stated that these confrontations occurred in eastern regions, resulting in over 60 fatalities and forcing thousands to flee their homes.

The Colombian government has called the National Liberation Army (ELN) responsible for the attacks.

Armed groups in Colombia have been engaged in a complex conflict with the government, right-wing paramilitary organizations, and even each other for years.
