KABUL: Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, the Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) said that thirteen new projects will be launched to increase electricity generation from domestic sources.
Omar added that this will raise the country’s domestic electricity production to 550 megawatts.
According to reports, currently, 80% of the country’s electricity needs are met through imports from Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, with only 38% of citizens having access to electricity.
