KABUL: Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani, the Acting Minister of Public Works, signed a contract worth 712 million Afghani for the construction of Maidan Wardak and Logar connecting road, spokesman of the ministry Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas said on Sunday.
Encompassing two phases, the 31.6-kilometre road will be constructed by two contracting companies within 18 months, he said.
The road starts from Amir Dara Tangi and passes through the areas of Elozi, Dogh Abad, Shulak and Babus and connects to Pul-e-Alam in the center of Logar province, he further said.
