Amir-ul-Momineen: Schools and universities are one and we must protect and support both

KABUL: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Amir-ul-Momineen Shaikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Hebatullah Akhundzada, for the first time on Wednesday, held a meeting with the professors, students, and staff of Kandahar University in the university’s grand mosque.

At the outset of the meeting, Amir-ul-Momineen talked about the importance of both modern and religious sciences.

Addressing professors and students, he stated: “Look, professors and students, you should pursue both religious and modern education, with the intention of serving only the religion; because you hold great value in society. The community looks upon the students of madrasas, schools, and universities with great respect and expects your service. In this country, the disbelievers have come multiple times and faced defeat; but now, Alhamdulillah, Afghanistan is progressing under an Islamic and free system.”

He further said: “We ask you to write the histories of the martyrs, fighters, and heroes of your country and introduce them to the world; because the mujahidin, with the help of Allah, liberated this country in difficult circumstances, and now it is your turn to compete globally with your knowledge and understanding.”
