KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement on Thursday that 63 Afghan migrants have been released from prisons in Pakistan and returned back to Afghanistan.
According to the statement, the released individuals include members of four families, totaling 15 individuals, along with 48 other Afghan citizens.
The statement noted that the Afghans were deported to Afghanistan after their release from Pakistani prisons yesterday.
The border authorities at Torkham and Spin Boldak attributed the imprisonment of the 63 Afghan citizens to their lack of legal residency documents in Pakistan, said the statement.
Earlier this week, dozens of Afghan citizens were also released from Pakistani prisons and returned home.
