Putin and Trump discuss Middle East, bilateral relations and prisoner exchanges

KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation on Wednesday, regarding the ending of the conflict in Ukraine. \

According to the Russian state-run TASS news agency, Putin has invited Trump to visit Moscow.

The two rivals had previously announced their intention to meet.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also stated that Putin and Trump discussed the situation in the Middle East, bilateral relations, and prisoner exchanges.

It is noteworthy that Donald Trump had stated on his first day in office that he would put an end to the war between Ukraine and Moscow.

In recent remarks, he also mentioned that he would recover all the costs previously incurred from Ukraine.
