UK, Germany, and Italy emphasize increased support for Ukraine

KABUL: Three European countries, including the UK, Italy, and Germany, have stressed the need for greater support from the union for Ukraine, Reuters reported on Thursday.

The countries issued a joint statement expressing their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine and strengthening Kyiv in peace negotiations between the United States and Russia.

These countries emphasized their commitment to supporting Kyiv and cooperating with Ukraine until a just peace is established.

The statements from the European and non-European countries come as U.S. and Russian leaders talked via phone yesterday to seek an end to the war in Ukraine.

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin agreed to meet closely in the future to discuss the Ukraine conflict.
