KABUL: The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Zabiullah Mujahid, stated in a discussion on X that the U.S. leftover weapons are considered spoils of war, and these will be used to defend religion, the country, and independence.
He asserted: “These weapons now belong to the Afghan people and are not linked to the Americans.”
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed hope that they will return the seized weapons in Afghanistan to Washington for a sum of $2 to $2.5 billion annually.
The Islamic Emirate has firmly rejected the return of the weapons, declaring them the property of the Afghan people.
