Work intensively underway on TAPI pipeline project in Afghanistan soil, Mujahid

KABUL: The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, stated that the work on extending the TAPI pipeline project within Afghan territory is intensively underway.

Mujahid made the remarks by sharing a report from the Herat governor’s press office on Monday night.

The report stated that local officials are increasing their efforts to expedite the TAPI project in the province.

The implementation of the project continues in several phases, the statement said.

“The leadership of Herat province is committed to accelerating the construction of the TAPI project and has also provided the necessary facilities in this regard,” said the statement.

TAPI project is recognized as the largest regional project for the transportation of natural gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India, and it is currently under construction in Herat province.
