Mawlavi Kabir, in meetings with Iranian, Pakistani ambassadors, emphasized considering int’l migration principles

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, emphasized the importance of adhering to international migration principles regarding Afghan migrants in Iran and Pakistan.
He made the remarks during separate meetings with Ali Reza Baigdeli and Obaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, the ambassadors of Iran and Pakistan in Kabul, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation reported today.
According to the statement, the Pakistani ambassador mentioned that he would share the requests of the Islamic Emirate with the authorities in Pakistan to resolve issues through dialogue.
In the meeting, the Iranian ambassador stated that Iran aims to provide documentation for legal Afghan migrants and seek solutions for illegal migrants.
This meeting comes at a time when the arrest and expulsion of Afghan migrants from Iran and Pakistan continue on a daily basis.
Reports indicate that the Pakistani government has set a deadline for the expulsion of all Afghan migrants after March 31.
