Qatar calls for full IAEA oversight of Israeli nuclear facilities

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar stated in a statement on Saturday that the country is seeking full oversight by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over the nuclear facilities of the Zionist regime.
Jassim Yaqub Al-Hamadi, Qatar’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, before a meeting of the Board of Governors in Vienna, emphasized the need for Israel to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) as a non-nuclear state.
The meeting discussed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the nuclear capabilities of the Zionist Israel regime.
Al-Hamadi urged Israel to place all its nuclear facilities under IAEA oversight.
According to reports, several United Nations resolutions have called on Israel to join the NPT as a non-nuclear state.
