Minister Muttaqi, Oman’s Industry Minister discusses various bilateral issues

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, during his trip to Oman, met with Qais bin Muhammad Al Yousuf, Minister of Industry and Commerce of that country, in Muscat.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement on Thursday, that in the meeting, the two sides discussed trade, investment, and transit between Afghanistan and Oman.

The statement noted that both sides agreed to facilitate meetings between business delegations and the private sectors of Afghanistan and Oman.

Efforts to expand exports and imports between Kabul and Muscat were also discussed, with particular emphasis on agriculture, food security, and trade transactions.

A few days ago, leading a delegation, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, left the country for Oman.
