Nearly $10 million approved to combat climate change in Afghanistan, NEPA

KABUL: The National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) has announced the approval of a budget worth $10 million to combat climate change in Afghanistan.
According to the NEPA, the project, valued at $9.98 million, has been approved by the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) Council under the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF).
The project will be implemented over five years in Badakhshan and Kunar, aiming to enhance the resilience of local communities against climate change and improve their livelihoods.
It is noteworthy that the implementation of this project will not only improve the environmental situation but also enhance the quality of life for local communities.
